Congratulations to Adele Buettner, Karen Briere, Shannon McArton and Jack Dawes, recipients of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in Saskatchewan.

Adele was recognized on September 29, 2022 in Saskatoon, Karen and Shannon were recognized on December 13, 2022 in Regina, and Jack was recognized on January 11, 2023 in Melville.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal is presented for contribution to Canada, the province, a particular region or a community.

The Lifetime Achievement Award honours long-serving members who have made outstanding contributions to the Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation and the agricultural communications or media industries. In 2022, the award was presented to Kevin and Marlene Hursh of Hursh Consulting & Communications for their work as mentors, supporters and sustainers of Canada’s agriculture journalists.
