The Saskatchewan Farm Writers Association is an organization for farm journalists and communicators to share information about Saskatchewan’s agriculture, agribusiness and agri-food industries. We provide a forum for networking with others in our field and offers numerous opportunities throughout the year for learning and professional development.
Professional development days are usually held each spring and fall and as opportunities arise. Additional meetings are typically held in conjunction with agriculture events such as the Western Canadian Farm Progress Show and Canadian Western Agribition in Regina. An annual meeting is held in conjunction with Crop Production Week in Saskatoon in January.
Membership in SFWA also provides members with national and international connections through the Canadian Farm Writers Federation (CFWF) and the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ).
Members can network at the CFWF annual conference every fall, and receive a national newsletter to keep updated on events from across Canada. Members can enter the CFWF annual awards competition for feedback on your work and a chance to receive recognition from CFWF and your peers.

Membership
Membership with the Saskatchewan Farm Writers Association includes automatic membership in the Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation (CFWF) and the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ).
Members are invited to annual provincial, national and international conferences that provide excellent professional development and networking opportunities.
