Raised on a mixed farm near Saskatoon, Adele remains a country girl at heart and a lover of all things agriculture and food. Priding herself on connecting farm to table, for nearly 30 years, she has worked closely with agriculture and food communities across North America and has built a reputable international network of food professionals including food writers, editors, dieticians, chefs, cookbook authors, food photographers, food educators, food media and, of course, farmers. Her company, AgriBiz Communications, works with a wide range of commodity groups, agricultural organizations, and related industries. She is regularly called upon to facilitate meetings and moderate panels, and collaborates with Kevin Hursh to provide media training within the agriculture industry.
As a freelance writer, Adele has contributed to various publications, most recently writing a food column for the Western Producer.

I’m a Saskatoon freelance writer with bachelor degrees in history and journalism and experience in newspapers, communications and advertising. I’ve written on a wide variety of agriculture and other topics but my primary focus in recent years has been potash and potash mining. After 15 years working as a reporter and editor in weekly and daily newspapers in Saskatchewan, I co-founded, wrote and edited an online magazine about our province and later gained experience in communications and advertising through employment at two large agencies in Saskatoon. Freelance writing appeals to me because I enjoy learning and telling stories.

Becky Zimmer grew up on a farm on the Saskatchewan prairies. From the age of four, Becky remembers wanting to do nothing else but writing and reading. Now as a journalist, Becky enjoys photography, volunteering, covering local events in her rural community not far from where she grew up, and talking about the writing process. Becky has covered agriculture for the last eight years, but has also written about municipal politics for Glacier Media and was a news editor and freelancer for Pattison Media before concentrating on a freelance career. Becky has written about provincial and national government policy changes, mental health, international commodity markets, and agricultural innovations, as well as local sports, civic politics and councils, and editorials. She has traveled extensively throughout Canada and took her first trip to Europe in the summer of 2022.
As a freelancer, she is always looking for new opportunities to work behind the scenes within the writing community and wants to continue traveling the world with her laptop and camera, doing nothing else but exploring and writing about the world. She has been published in The Globe and Mail, Prairies North Magazine, GrainsWest, CBC Saskatchewan, Pattison Media, and Glacier Farm Media but is always open to new opportunities, whether in the news or corporate communications and PR worlds
